ReplyDeleteAs an Aucklander living in the middle of many volcanic cones, I'm really intrigued with your questions. Have you visited Auckland Museum's permanent volcano exhibition?

It has some interesting simulations on how eruptions could effect us. You could also climb up a local cone for an aerial view.
