Happy Halloween

As you guys know Today is Halloween. I decided to create a toggle saying Happy Halloween. It is shaped as a pumpkin and its black and orange. I hope everyone has a good time trick or treating and, also enjoy your lollies.

Halloween Dressup

Today at Glen Taylor School There was a Halloween Dress up. We had done this because we had fundraiser for Kiwi Can Jam.The were six prizes given out , two for each syndicate. I found it very interesting to see what everyone was. I didn't have a costume but, I decided just to wear Mufti. 

Reading Theory

If we had completed all our work we had to go on Read Theory. I have read the story and now I am up to answering the questions. I have got all the questions correct , I have one more to answer. Do you think I will get it right?. Comment down what you think.

More Converting Fractions & Decimals

As you guys know  we have been learning about Converting Fraction & Decimals. Today we got given another worksheet to complete. Obviously it was about Converting Fractions & Decimals. Here is the worksheet I completed, have a look!.

Room 8's Assembly

Today was Room 8's assembly. Since our focus this term for inquiry is "Tale of three Languages" they had done a challenge using one language, "Sign Language". They had created videos of them acting out something in sign language. We had to guess what they were saying, if we got it right we would a small chocolate. They also showed us somethings they learnt. 

Technology

Today at Technology we didn't get to cook. (Why?) Our main teacher was sick today so we end up having a reliever. We had went to the Geek cafe and done some work given from our reliever. We sat at the tables in our groups and got given papers. The papers were text about  Scandinavian. We also got given word searches and crosswords to complete also with some questions to answer.  Here is a photo of a place in Scandinavia.

Breaking Down

Session with Mrs Grant

Today we had our session with Mrs Grant. We learnt about searching on the internet. We had got given a slide deck filled with questions that we had to answer. I enjoyed today's session here is my some photo's.

Inquiry

Today in the last block we done inquiry. For inquiry we had to learn how to sing songs in sign language. We had to pick out of three songs. Hall of fame, One call away or Take it easy. I picked One Call away I learnt this with Honey and Amy. Here is some photo's.

Today we got assigned to read and article about Diwali on dogo news. After we had done that we had to go on a google drawing and complete some tasks on there. Here is my work that I have just finished completing.

Narrative writing 2

Miss Tupou assigned I and Amy to create our own narrative story. It was supposed to be short story but mine kind of turned out quite long. Scroll downwards to read my narrative if the writing is too small just comment it down that its to small and I will make it bigger.

We got assigned to create a google drawing of a story mountain. Before we done that we had to watch a short movie and then we had to create a story mountain for it. Here is my story mountain.

Narrative Writing

Miss Tupou assigned us to go on a slide deck she gave us. We had to read through the slides about narrative writing so we can revive about what we know. After we had done that we had to read through a story called little red riding hood and then put it in a narrative structure. We had to also pair up I was with Amy.Here is our work.

Zumba

This morning we had done some zumba. My teacher wanted us to do this so we can get a break from staring at our Chromebooks. We also were being very good at working.Here is a photo of some of us doing zumba.

Cooking at Technology

Today at tech we made Savoury Rolls with capsicum, salami and cheese. Today for cooking class it was quite different because we had to make it on our own and I used to making it with my buddies. The savoury rolls were very delicious and spicy. I don't have a photo of our savoury rolls but here is a photo of what they usually look like.

Sign Language

Today we were assigned to create a google drawing with our name in sign language. We had to take a photo of us doing our name in sign language. After we had done that like I said we had to create a google drawing with those photo's in it. Here is my google drawing I hope you like it.

Rugby Tournament

Today the Year 7 & 8 students from Glen Taylor went to participate in a rugby tournament. They came 3rd place for the rugby tournament. I think the boys done a good job coming 3 rd place and the school is proud of them. Here is some photo's.

Session with Mrs Grant

Today we had our first session with Mrs Grant for term 4 week one. Mrs grant numbered us from 1 to 5 with a buddy. After she had done that we had got given a slide deck and our job was to go on the slide that has our number on it. I forgot to mention we were slide 2 and also who my buddy was. My buddy was Vaiola and she is from Room 7 .Our job on our slide was to write down different types of camera shots angles, lighting, colour and movements that we saw on the movie trailer inside out. Here is a screenshot of what we wrote. We also had other people on the slide so we will show you there work.

Before Sunrise

Back To School! Term 4 Wk1

Hello Everyone today is known as the first day of Term 4 2017.  Today I need to get myself back into the school routine because I'm still kind of In my holiday mode. I just wanted to say that I hope everyone had an awesome holiday with your family and friends and I also hope that your ready to be back to school cause I'm definitely not. It's good to be back because I was really missing school over the holidays!.

Kiwi Can Wk1 Term 4

Today we had Kiwi Can. For kiwi can we learnt about Respect and Respecting ourselves. Also for our energiser we played rock paper scissors which I enjoyed. For our activity we played a game kind of similar to guess who. Miss Tuia gave us a paper and we had to write something unique about us. She read those facts out and we had to guess who it was. I had a good day at Kiwi Can. Sorry I don't have any photo's of our session today.
