Secret Santa

In Room 11 we are doing secret Santa. Secret Santa is when you pull out a name from a box. Once you have pulled out a person you then have to buy them a Christmas present. There is usually a budget of 10 dollars that you can use. Your teacher will tell the class what day you will have to bring it. Our secret Santa presents are due today and I'm sure everyone's enthusiastic to open there presents. Here is a photo.

Head Girl & Head Boy

Today Glen Taylor had their prize giving. The school had announced the Head and deputy heady boy and girl's for today. I just want to say congratulations to Amy and Quinton for getting head girl and boy. I also want to say congratulations to Brooklyn and Mario for getting deputy head girl and boy. The school picked amazing head and deputy students. I can't wait for next year!

Prize Giving!

Tonight Glen Taylor had their very own prize giving. The juniors performed 2 items and the middles and seniors performed one. They also gave out the awards for our learning areas. Another exciting thing tonight happened our new head/deputy head girl and boy's had got announced. Tonight was an awesome night congratulation to everyone who got a prize.

Thimble

Summer Art

Miss Tupou had assigned us to finish our summer art. Summer art is a paper with two jandals on it. You are only aloud to use summer colours in this art, example: red, orange, yellow, e.g. After we had completed colouring it we also had to add a poem about summer. Session with Mrs Grant

Today Room 11 had their last session with Mrs Grant. We had played a game. After we had played the game we had got the chance to create a thimble or remix about the game. Here is some photo's of the session.

Softball

Today we had our last session of Softball. We played a game of Softball. We had an awesome session with David and Craig. I had fun learning different techniques and skills during our softball session. Here is a few photo's of our session.

Figure me out..

Miss Tupou assigned us to finish our Figure me out art. Figure me out art is a poster with clues of things about. So basically you have clues about you so that people can guess who that person is. Anyways I completed my figure me out art, have a look.

4 highlights...

One of the tasks that we got assigned to do were my 4 highlights. 4 highlights is a paper with a circle. The circle has four boxes inside of it. In each circle there is something written down that you have to basically do. Example: draw one of your highlights of the year. There also also a twist to this art you can not use words or numbers in this on art. I completed my 4 highlights have a look!

Kiwi Can Says......

Honesty is, ( repeat) the best policy, ( repeat) . That is one of the kiwi can quotes. Today we had our last session of kiwi can. Mr Numia decided that we just play a game so we voted for a game. We end up playing manhunt and go home stay home. I enjoyed today's session, here is some photo's of some of our sessions during this year.

In the evening Glen Taylor School had their last Disco! We had a disco because the friends of the school decided to organise this event. They were selling different foods which was also great. Mr Faalili play his awesome music with his DJ set. Sadly I didn't get to attend the disco but, hopefully everyone had a good night. 

Zumba

As you guys know the seniors had an assembly. After the assembly our teachers decided we should do some zumba. Everyone loves zumba in the seniors because it's so enjoyable to do. I don't have photo's of the zumba but, I do have a photo of the last zumba.

Seniors Assembly!

Today the seniors had there very own ASSEMBLY! There were different challenges like, nose dive, who's laugh is that and many more. We also performed a dance. I enjoyed our assembly today, I hope the school did as well. Here is a a photo of one of the boys showing how to play one of the icebreakers.

Chocolate Truffles

Today at technology they made chocolate truffles. It was there last day of technology which was very sad. Apparently they were very good so yahy to that. Here is a photo of a chocolate truffle that looks delicious.

Softball

Today Room 11 played a game of Softball. Each team got a chance to hit the ball and field. I did not participate but, I decided to write about it.Here is a photo of the session at softball.

Tamaki Atheletics

Today some students from Glen Taylor school attended the Tamaki Athletics. At your school you will have athletics. If you come first second or third you will go to the tamaki athletics were all the school's go. 2 students from our school made it to the finals coming first. Good luck Tiana and Liston. Team building

Today they had a camp meeting. The had done some team building activities. One of them were trust fall, trust fall is when you have to fall on someone. If the fall on you they trust you but, if there to scared they don't trust you. Here is some photo's of the activities.

Room 9's assembly

Today Room 9 had their assembly. They presented some of their work they had been working on also with some items. The type of work they presented were there book blurbs, wonderpolis and more. I enjoyed Room 9's assembly, here is some photo's.

Kawau Island

In a couple weeks the seniors will be going to a camp site in Kawau Island. Our teacher thought we should learn a bit about Kawau Island before we got there. We got given a few tasks to complete. Here is one of the tasks.

Why is regular exercise important?

One of our tasks for writing was to create an explanation about why regular exercise is important? We had got given a doc, on this doc we had to write the explanation. Here is my completed explanation make sure to read it!

Rainbow's End

Today some students leaders from Glen Taylor school had went to RAINBOW'S END!. Mr Herlihy thought that every peer mediator, road patrol, and leaders deserved a treat. So every leader from our school go to attend. I went on mostly every ride except for the fear fall, and power surge. I enjoyed it at rainbow's end, here is some photo's of us at rainbow's end.

Pie Filling

Today we had Technology. We had made our filling for our pies. Last week we made the inside for our pies. After making our fillings our filling got put into the oven. They were so hot when they came out so we had to wait for an while. The pies were delicious, here is a photo of a pie filling.

Today we had done writing. One of our tasks was to complete our Student Voice. Student Voice is when you basically write your highlights of the year and what you enjoyed. Anyways I had completed my student voice, here have a look!\

Softball

This morning in the first block we had done our third session of Softball. For our whole session we played Softball.We had been split into two teams, each team would either be a fielding team or a batting team. I had a great time playing Softball with the class. How does technology help students learn better?

For writing one of our tasks was to write an explanation on "How technology helps students learn better?". We had to create a planning and then write our explanation. Each person got sent the doc of what we write in. I completed my explanation, have a look!.

Maths

In a couple of weeks the seniors will be going to camp at Kawau Island. When you go camp you obviously need food. Our teacher gave us the food menu for camp we all have to go on the countdown website and find out each price for each different foods and how many we think we will need. GTS FIRE!

Today the whole school had went on the field. Every classroom got given a letter and they had to shape that out lying down. The sun was blazing hot so It was quite hard lying down while the sun was burning us. Once everyone was in there positions Mr Shanks took a photo. Here is the photo.

Today we got given work. One of our tasks was to watch three more films and comment a quality blog comment. I have completed doing this tasks, have a look!.

Today we got given work. For our work we had to do number of the day. Number  of the day is when you get given a number. You get given different subjects that you have to do with the number. Example: write 527 in words. Anyways here is my work I completed.

Today in the first block I had done Reading. For reading I had done Reading Lab. Reading Lab is when you get given a card with a different reading subject. The card I got was Alphabetical Order 39. You read the article and then you get given questions about the article, or you get given tasks. Today for reading I done Dogo News. I had to pick an article that was given on Dogo News. I got given a google drawing from dogo news, I had got given tasks to do. I had just completed my tasks right now, have a look at my completed work.

Technology

Today at cooking class we made our filling for our pies. We didn't get to have anything today because we had made the filling for our pies. We will get to have our pies next week at technology. We used onions, mince, stock, hot water and nut meg. Here is a photo of what our pie filling looks like, it is not our one but it is an example.
