My reading response to Kiki: My stylish life!

Goal Setting!
Today Glen Taylor School had their goal setting night. Goal setting is a event where you show your learning that you have learnt in the past weeks with your parents and you also tell your parents what stage you are at for each learning area. You guys know that I posted a goal setting sheet, that sheet was my levels and stages for each learning area. Miss Tupou sent me and some other students in my class a padlet. She wanted our parents to write some feedback about our session with her. Here is my one!

Preparing my self for Goal Setting...
This morning Room 11 had completed there goal sheets for Goal Setting tomorrow. On our goal setting sheets we write our stages for all our learning areas and how we are going to try improve them. Do you know the meaning of opportunity?
This week for homework one of our tasks is Spelling. For spelling Miss Tupou gave us a few words and we had to write the meaning of each word that was given. Here is a photo of my spelling for homework.

This week Room 11 had homework. One of our tasks for homework was to create a family tree. We had to put our grandparents, parents and siblings in it. I enjoyed this activity I liked be creative with creating the tree and also adding photos of my family.

Tag Tournament
Today some students from Glen Taylor School had a Tag Tournament. We had a Girl Team and a Boys Team. The boys team had came third and the girls team did not place first ,second ,or third. It was a very humid day and one of the teachers were very kind to buy Glen Taylor some ice cream which cooled us off before our next game.

This term Room 11 has been watching videos about how the Pasifika people migrated to New Zealand. Today we watched a few videos about some people stories about why the came to New Zealand from their home country. After we watched the videos we gathered all our information on the board on why some people came to New Zealand. Here is our work!

These past three weeks Room 11 has been choosing leaders that are inspirational to them. After they have selected there leader we had to create a google drawing explaining why the person that we picked is a good leader. Maths Warm up!
This morning after Turbo Touch we had done a maths warm up. Miss Tupou had taught the class some new ways and strategies to figure out some maths questions. Some people from the class also went up and wrote down some ways on how they would figure out some maths questions. This morning we had a session of Turbo Touch. We had put ourselves into teams, there could only be five people in each team. Each team took turns versing each other which was very enthusiastic. Sadly my team did not win but, its alright because we got next week as well.

A.C.E Survey!
As you guys know Room 11 created their Snakes and Ladder board games. After we had completed our games Madina, Precious, and Miracle had created a survey based on the school values. Room 11 had got given the google doc for the survey and everyone completed it. Here is the survey I had done!

Today we have Mr Victor. He assigned Room 11 to create a game. Mostly everyone picked Snakes and Ladders but, some people picked other games like monopoly. I still did Snakes and Ladders though. Here is my completed game!

Bird Artwork
In class today we had done Art. We learnt about an Artist named Fiona Hall. Fiona Hall is an Australian artist photographer and sculptor. She had created some magnificent art that related to birds. Lots of birds are dying from pollution so she created some artwork about it. She used rubbish bottle sprays to create birds out of. Room 11 decided to copy her artwork, here is my our bird artwork.

Four positive statements, Four negative statements!
Today we have Mr Victor. Today for our writing we had to write four statements about negatives things about school and four positive statements that happen at school. We also had to write the negative thing or positive thing about it. Here is my completed work!

Pasifika Pearls (O.G)
Tonight the original Pasifika Pearls had there first performance for 2018! They had performed there a few dances that they have been doing for a few years now and also a new Fijian dance. There is only 5 original dancers in the Pasifika Pearls and in 2019 there will be only 3. I didn't see them perform but, I know they did a good job.
